OCTOBER IS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH: SUPPORT CLEANING FOR A REASON!

During this month of awareness of this terrible Cancer that plagues men and women, we want to make you all aware that we do more than support the cause of awareness, we work to support those that are impacted by this cancer by helping clean their homes so they can rest and recover!

As you know, we are big supporters of our local community. As participants in the program, Cleaning for a Reason, our company and staff have done 52 house cleanings so far! We are doing our part to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and help our community members recover by offering free house cleaning to cancer patients who need help.

We know that our free house cleaning services boost their morale and bring some happiness to their healing process. When we go to do a cleaning for a cancer patient who is struggling with chemotherapy or who is bed-ridden, we love seeing them smile after we clean their home!

If you know a patient who is suffering from cancer right now, you can nominate them at the website to receive a free house cleaning! Click here: https://cleaningforareason.org/

If you want to support this organization, you can visit their website and see how you want to offer support.

We will continue to do our Cleaning for a Reason, even after October, the Breast Cancer Awareness Month is over. We are thankful for the opportunity to support the people who need help. With 52 cleanings so far, we are on our way to 100!

6 Tips for Holiday Cleaning that will Make Your Home Sparkle

When you think of holiday cleaning, you probably think about all the mess your guests and family will make as they arrive at your home. While that’s certainly true, we’re here to tell you that there’s much more to it than that! Your holiday cleaning can be simplified and streamlined in such a way that your house will shine throughout the season, whether or not anyone has ever stepped foot inside it. Here are six tips for holiday cleaning that will make your home sparkle all season long!

1) Take Breaks Between Cleanings

The holidays are a busy time of year, and it can be tempting to spend days cleaning your home. But don’t forget to take breaks between cleanings so you don’t get burnt out. You can save some time by making a plan for the week, so you know what needs to be done and how long it will take.  If you need help with a deep cleaning, ask for Beyond Expectations Cleaning Services in Brunswick GA, who offer professional cleaners and competitive prices.

2) Get the Family Involved

When it comes to cleaning a home, you need to get the whole family involved. We all have a role to play in making sure the house is spick and span! From organizing and doing laundry to vacuuming, taking out the trash, and wiping down surfaces, there’s something for everyone. Plus, when we work together as a team, things go faster and everyone feels better!

3) Create a Cleaning Schedule

Try creating a cleaning schedule so you stay on top of your cleaning checklist. Clean room by room on specific days and get on top of things! Don’t forget you could always schedule a cleaning service before the holiday season arrives. Beyond Expectations cleaning services can help you get ahead of your holiday festivities while giving you one less thing to worry about. We offer a variety of cleaning packages, including deluxe home cleanings, disinfection cleaning, post-construction cleaning, and even move-in or move-out cleaning services.

4) Don’t Procrastinate

Don’t wait until the last minute to clean your home. It is much easier to clean when you are able to concentrate on one room at a time. Plan ahead and use a checklist so you don’t forget anything. Do one room at a time and give it adequate time (an hour). Start with the most cluttered room in the house, like the living room or family room. The less cluttered areas will be easier to clean, so we recommend doing them second. Remember to vacuum every area of the house including ceilings, floors, baseboards, and furniture before starting.

For tough jobs such as ovens, refrigerators, stovetops, cupboards, or toilets; bring in a cleaning company that knows how to get these jobs done quickly without disrupting your schedule. Consider hiring a professional cleaner like Beyond Expectations that can deep-clean while you relax during the holidays. And remember: keeping things clean doesn’t have to take hours! Just 15 minutes per day can keep your home looking its best all year round.

5) Tackle One Room at a Time

The best way to clean your home during the holiday season is to tackle one room at a time. For example, start by cleaning the kitchen and then move on to the living room. If you focus on one room at a time, you’ll be able to make it shine in no time!  Beyond Expectations Cleaning offers expert deep cleaning services so you can have peace of mind knowing your house will sparkle like never before.

6) Reward Yourself!

After all the hard work of giving your home a holiday cleaning, treat yourself! Grab some chocolate and curl up on the couch with a good book. Or watch your favorite TV show while enjoying some downtime in your clean home. Light a candle while you relax and enjoy your new-found peace and quiet. The smell is invigorating, the air is fresh, and you’ve done it—your holiday cleaning is finished!

Black Friday Deals: How to Get the Best Deals on Black Friday

Do your research

You should always do research before Black Friday Shopping. Start looking for deals weeks in advance, so you can identify which retailers are offering the best bargains. Make a list of everything you want to buy and then compare prices among different stores. The bigger the sales tax difference between two stores, generally speaking, the better your deal will be at that store.

Sales tax differences can often make one retailer’s sale price seem cheaper than another retailer’s regular price. For example, if Store A is selling an item for $100 but it has a 10% higher sale tax rate than Store B, which is charging $110 with no additional taxes, Store A’s sale would still end up being cheaper by 10%.

Make a list

Start by making a list of things you want to buy and what you’re willing to spend. This will help you stay focused when shopping and make it easier to compare prices. To save time, consider buying online or waiting until Cyber Monday (November 27th) for deals. Finally, don’t forget the extras like wrapping paper and cards that’ll help you get the most out of your Black Friday Shopping experience!
And remember to have a few go-to stores in mind for convenience. You can get some great deals online and if you’re comfortable with your computer, make sure you check out sites like eBay and Craigslist as well! If you find something that’s even cheaper than what’s listed, share it with everyone by posting an ad of your own so they can get some good deals too!

Set a budget

Setting a budget is important when shopping for Black Friday deals. Holiday Shopping can be addictive, but it’s a good idea to set a limit and stick with it. This will help you avoid overspending and prevent buyer’s remorse.

Once you’ve set your budget, make sure you only spend money on things that will bring lasting value. We all want to buy things for friends and family, but consider buying gifts for them with cash instead of credit cards. This will help curb impulse spending and keep you from accumulating unnecessary debt.

Shop early

If you’re looking for deals this Black Friday, start your bargain shopping early. Black Friday deals are some of the best shopping deals of the year and it’s best to get a head start. Stock up on holiday gifts while they’re affordable. Plus, there is less pressure when you shop early because stores aren’t as crowded and items are easy to find.

Shop online

Start shopping online for Black Friday deals so you can avoid the crowds and have time for other holiday shopping. Plus, it’s a good way to save money with Amazon Prime Free Two-Day Shipping. Shop items at these stores during their Black Friday sale period and you’ll see an even bigger savings!

Check return policies

It is important to check your return policies before Black Friday shopping. If you’re not careful, you could end up getting stuck with something you can’t use or wearing something that doesn’t fit. You should also be mindful of stores that limit how many items you can return for a full refund. If you make several purchases at one store, it might not be worth returning everything if they have a limited return policy.

Beware of doorbusters

Bargain Shopping during Black Friday is a great way to get some Holiday Shopping deals. But don’t just blindly buy anything you see. Be sure to look for Black Friday Doorbuster sales that offer some of the best deals of the season.

Don’t forget about Cyber Mond

Black Friday is a great time of year for holiday shopping. It’s when retailers offer good deals, but don’t forget about Cyber Monday! The Monday after Thanksgiving, Cyber Monday is filled with great deals on everything from clothing and electronics to jewelry and beauty products. Plus, you can shop from your couch in your PJs!

7 Tips to Help You Get Through Fall Allergies

Making it through the fall allergy season can be tough—both physically and mentally. If you’ve ever experienced any of the following symptoms, you know exactly what I’m talking about: scratchy throat, stuffy nose, watery eyes, itchy skin, sneezing fits, and coughing spasms that last all night long. Sounds pretty awful, right? The good news is that there are ways you can lessen your suffering during this time of year…without resorting to over-the-counter medications. Here are seven tips on how to get through fall allergies without having to suffer needlessly.

1) FIND THE ALLERGY SOURCE

The main culprits are ragweed, infrequent housekeeping, and dust allergies. To find out if you’re reacting to dust mites, it’s a good idea to request a dust-mite test for the mattress and pillows from your home. Once you find the allergy source, keep that in mind as you move through this list. For instance, if ragweed is the problem, there’s not much to be done other than treating yourself with a saline nasal spray to keep handy during the fall months. Dust can easily be countered with deep cleaning at least once a week. Keeping your home clean will not only keep you happy but healthy too!

2) BUY AN AIR PURIFIER

Part of staying healthy during allergy season is deep cleaning your home. This includes vacuuming and dusting all surfaces, along with scrubbing any mold you might find in the bathroom. A great way to protect yourself from mold allergies is by buying an air purifier. The truth is that even if you clean your home, there will be allergens coming in from outside. So owning an air purifier will help with the possible mold spores coming in from outside.

3) REPLACE YOUR AIR FILTER

Changing your air filter will help reduce the amount of dust, pollen and other allergens that are circulating in your home. It’s a quick fix that can help you sleep better at night. If it’s difficult for you to replace your own air filter, enlist a family member or friend to help. If they don’t live nearby, ask them to pick up an air filter when they’re out.

4) WEAR PROTECTIVE CLOTHING

When you’re outside, dress in layers and wear a hat and scarf. Wearing protective clothing will help prevent the allergens from getting through your clothes and into your skin. Wool is an excellent material for these outer layers, as it helps protect against allergy-causing substances by trapping them. Use an anti-allergen pillow case or wash all bedding regularly so that any mold spores are removed. Keep windows closed when the dust is blowing outside so that none of the particles get inside your home.

5) TAKE NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS

If you’re not ready to take medication, there are a few natural supplements that can help. One of the most popular is a neti pot. Take a teaspoon or so of salt and mix it with warm water in the neti pot. Then, tilt your head over the sink and insert the tip of the pot into one nostril while breathing out through your mouth. Let gravity pull the liquid through your nasal passages and out of the other nostril, allowing all those allergy-causing particles to be flushed away!

6) CONSUME ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOODS

Allergies can be triggered by a number of factors, including the environment, certain food items, and emotional stress. Studies show that many allergy sufferers have an increased sensitivity to inflammation and may need to watch their diet for things like dairy products and gluten. If you’re experiencing nasal congestion, watery eyes, itchy skin, or any other allergy symptoms this fall season, try adding these six foods into your diet:

Buckwheat – Buckwheat is rich in zinc which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce swelling of mucous membranes in the sinuses. Zinc also helps maintain healthy immune function. Add some buckwheat cereal to your morning breakfast bowl and top it with berries!
Watermelon – The high levels of lycopene found in watermelon make it one of the best sources of antioxidants. Lycopene has been found to relieve nasal congestion as well as asthma, dermatitis, hives, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and more. Enjoy some slices when you wake up with some cold filtered water!
Coconut oil – Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid (a type of saturated fat), capric acid (another type) and caprylic acid (a third type) all three have potent anti-inflammatory effects.
7) KEEP YOUR HOME CLEAN

If you have asthma, you might find that your symptoms are worse in the fall because mold and other allergens can build up when the air is dry. Cleaning the air in your house regularly with a damp cloth or humidifier will help keep the air clean and make it easier for you to breathe. The final step is to take a shower every day- even if you don’t feel sweaty or dirty! Inhaling through the nose is one way of clearing out sinuses from pollen and dust particles.
